We are working as a recruitment provider searching on our Client's behalf for a person in the following role:
Infrastructure Solution Architect
Location: Kraków
Key Accountabilities:
Infrastructure Architecture also focuses on:
Investigate new infrastructure technologies to meet Digital business requirements
Provide technical governance over the Products used in company through the Technical Reference Model (TRM)
Provide service governance of both existing and new technical non-functional service definitions maintained within an Infrastructure Service Catalogue
Infrastructure Architecture Designs, approved by the Solutions Architecture Board (SAB)
Keep up to date with business strategies & road maps; technology roadmaps and feeding wider business IT requirements into central infrastructure engineering and strategy teams
Use of knowledge of the exiting client business, applications and infrastructure to pro-actively make recommendations where it can be seen that improvements can be made
The role focuses on both Architecture:
Determine business requirement and influence solution towards Infrastructure future state model
Gauge strategic impact to business function, impacted upstream and downstream services and subsequent technology footprint
Ensure logical design contributes to asset class technology objectives
Examine potential demise opportunities and propose deployment options
Consider service placement requirements
And Design:
Ensuring end to end completeness of technical design, including Non-Functional Requirements realised and validated
Verify impact to adjacent services/systems and Validate deployment and support model
Qualify technical acceptance of all components
Review design and gain approval via Solutions Architecture Board
Finalised commercials and approval
Requirements:
Business:
Have a good understanding of Retail Banking & Wealth Management business challenges such as Digital Banking, Trade Finance and transactional banking lifecycle. Able to translate business needs into appropriate IT solutions.
Technical:
Have a system engineering background and the ability to compare and contrast different solutions to meet a business requirement. Provide technical thought leadership in evaluation of new technologies to meet business requirements and influence key stakeholders leading to adoption. Have in-depth conceptual functional and non-functional knowledge of:
OLTP Databases (Oracle RAC, DB2, SQL, VCS)
OLAP, ODS and Data Warehouse technologies and platforms
Middleware (IBM MQ & Platform)
Integration (Message Broker, R2DS, GSI)
Web applications servers (Apache HTTP Server & Tomcat, IIS, Websphere)
Networking (Cisco, TCP/UDP, Broadcast/Multicast, LAN/WAN)
Storage (EMC SAN - FC, FCoE, iSCSI, SRDF; NetApp NAS - CIFS, NFS)
Cloud (AWS, Google)
