Infra Technical Expert
Responsibilities:
The Technical Expert Job is responsible for providing consultancy, technical leadership and expertise within a team (or multiple teams). Expectation to operate in and foster a learning culture, ensuring personal, and the team's technical expertise remains current with the latest industry developments
This role will carry out some or all of the following activities:
Technical Expert will operating within a team(s) working at all stages of a product or service release/change with a strong customer focus and end to end journey, ensuring they have an excellent domain knowledge
Working with other engineers within the team to ensure operational issues (performance, operator intervention, alerting, design defect related issues, etc) are identified and addressed at all stages of a product or service release / change
Responsible to support in identification, root cause analysis and eradication of problems associated with the Technology service, as directed by leadership of the DevOps team
Responsible to support in identification and resolution of all incidents associated with the Technology service, as directed by leadership of the DevOps team
Write development code, understand a DevOps Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery pipeline, and build automated test scripts (for infrastructure products and upgrades), and build automation interfaces between systems
Requirements:
Bachelor's in information systems, computer science, or equivalent work experience
Ability to act as a technical subjet matter expert for IT resilience solutions, including applications, infrastructure and security aspects
IT Service Delivery experience ideally including an end-to-end Disaster Recovery, IT Resilience or technology background
Experience designing, integrating, and managing moderately complex solutions
Ability to manage ITIL support processes in a complex, mission-critical business environment
Ability to shape the solution and leading technical delivery of large / complex enterprise integration solutions
Experience working in relevant environment/s like IT Quality, IT Service Management, IT Infrastructure Delivery (Operations) or in an Application Development Team
Demonstrable experience of ownership, Subject Matter Expertise or execution of one or more Service Management Processes
Familiarity with standard IT Service Management related practices such as Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management, Configuration Management, Release Management, Service Request Fulfillment and Continuous Improvement Management
Ability to communicate effectively, in both written and verbal formats, with senior executive-level leaders
Experience identifying key issues, involve affected parties, design solutions, obtain buy-in, and communicate effectively through resolution
Ability to influence, partner, and negotiate with senior business leaders to gain commitment to accomplish business goals
Ability to deliver concise time critical information to all levels of management, technology and business teams
Not required but desired:
Experience working with agile methodologies is preferred
Experience of IT architecture
Strong Microsoft Office skills
ITIL certification is desirable
