Head of IT Solution Delivery

Be the senior solution delivery IT person in the region to work with the regional/market IT and business executive team on IT strategy, roadmap, timely delivery of projects as well as IT budgeting and act as senior regional escalation point for IT solution delivery issues and escalations. Person hired on this position will have 5-6 Directs reports (20-30 full team)

Strategy

• Work with the regional/local senior team to agree the Digital/IT roadmap aligned to the OEM and Company strategies and regional/local business priorities, creating one overall roadmap for the region.
• Publish and communicate the roadmap and keep it regularly refreshed as priorities change.
• Ensure the roadmap and funding are aligned.
• Drive a mindset of leveraging Group, regional or OEM solutions, keeping local solutions to an absolute minimum.
• Continually working to improve the efficiency of the delivery IT projects within and aligned to the global digital strategy Delivery
• Deliver the agreed regional portfolio of projects on time, to budget and to the agreed requirements and quality.
• Ensure the defined benefits are tracked and delivered.
• Manage the demand pipeline for new projects ensuring a rigorous process for agreeing which possible projects are taken forward.
• Ensure a rigorous and consistent project governance process is in place (in line with the global IT governance process) covering the full life cycle of the project, from inception and sign off though to delivery, handover to support and benefits realisation.

Team

• Have the accountability for the regional application, portfolio leads, projects managers and business analysts teams:

-Ensure their objectives and priorities are clear.

-Ensure regular review and feedback for all team members.

-Ensure the processes of objectives, appraisals, developments are followed.

-Build a culture of pro-activity within the team.

• Ensure delivery through the Global Platforms and Digital Delivery Centres is maximised to optimise the strategic landscape and cost of delivery and ongoing support.

IT Relationship

• Be the senior IT contact point for the Solution Delivery team in the region
• Be a pro-active member of the Europe and Africa IT exec leadership team, helping drive the regional strategy.
• Seek out opportunities to drive the Europe and Africa region business forward using technology and by adopting the OEM or strategies.
• Own the regional solution delivery IT team budgeting process and cost management.
• Have an overall view of the IT solution delivery in the region and be the escalation point for any service issues.
• Develop strong interdependent relationships with the Digital Delivery Centres

Profil kandydata

• Greater than 5 years Senior IT management experience, working at an Executive team level.
• Experience of managing a portfolio of Digital/IT projects.
• Experience of managing an international team of Portfolio managers, project managers and business analysts.
• Experience in creating IT application roadmaps in a complex matrix environment.
• Ability to lead and influence in a matrix organisation, leveraging resource in a global organisation.
• Excellent communication skills at all levels.
• Able to demonstrate a proactive and professional approach.
• Able to demonstrate strong project governance skills.
• Ability to think strategically and plan effectively.
