Our Digital teams are an integrated global group of over 3500 technologists and commercial thinkers, working across our offices in London, India, China, Hong Kong, the US, Canada, Poland and Mexico. Our work includes developing new mobile apps and online experiences, using digital messaging to build the relationship with our customers, building and improving the underlying technology and security platforms and innovating our propositions to take advantage of new innovation. The Delivery lead, Digital Tooling Engineering will be responsible for leading a global portfolio of work to deliver new tooling across Digital Solutions as required. The role holder will be accountable for the timely delivery of projects, and will own the Project Management function within Digital Tooling Engineering. The role will report to the Global head of Digital tooling and monitoring engineering, and work closely with Digital delivery teams and engineering managers and technicians in multiple locations.
Be responsible for the delivery of multiple cloud/tooling projects across the portfolio
Provide regular updates to relevant stakeholders with regard to the progress of the Infrastructure related tasks in relation to the agreed timelines milestones.
Responsible for a team of scrum masters and project managers
Manage relationships with multiple senior stakeholders.
Deliver appropriate reporting
Proactively improve processes to improve delivery cadence
Ensure risks and issues are managed appropriately
The role requires working closely with the Business, Technical teams, external suppliers etc. to adopt the best practices and technologies for the region
Conduct regular team meetings and produce periodic reports
Manage and co-ordinate with IT teams to resolve post production defects and provides regular updates.
Release the project to production and provide post implementation support.
Operational Effectiveness & Control:
Promote uniformity within the tooling team.
Implement strong planning and resource forecasting techniques for all projects.
Ensure due diligence and appropriate processes are followed when existing systems are modified and new systems are implemented with the objective of improving quality whilst increasing cost-effectiveness and achieving excellent levels of risk-management
Ensure compliance with internal and external technology standards and regulatory obligations
Management of the operational risk by bridging the gaps in the regional Digital tooling resources
Work with IT Quality to define and promote best practices concerning projects implementation. Observation of Internal Controls (Compliance Policy / FIM requirements)
The jobholder will also adhere to and be able to demonstrate adherence to internal controls. This will be achieved by adherence to all relevant procedures, keeping appropriate records and, where appropriate, by the timely implementation of internal and external audit points, including issues raised by external regulators.
The jobholder will implement the Group compliance policy by containing compliance risk in liaison with Global Head of Compliance, Global Compliance Officer, Area Compliance Officer or Local Compliance Officer. The term ‘compliance’ embraces all relevant financial services laws, rules and codes with which the business has to comply.
This will be achieved by adhering to all relevant processes/procedures and by liaising with Compliance department about new business initiatives at the earliest opportunity. Also and when applicable, by ensuring adequate resources are in place and training is provided, fostering a compliance culture and optimising relations with regulators.
Project management related qualification such as PMP or Prince2
Knowledge (certification ideal) of agile
A track record of overseeing delivery of multiple, large scale, complex projects
Proven technical expertise in an IT role
Thorough knowledge of risk management
Good knowledge of crisis response and recovery
Track record of successful staff management and motivation
nternationalist in outlook and familiarity with foreign environments
