Head of Category is responsible for specific product category activities within the Cluster (7 countries) by managing and executing the global marketing strategy inline with the global brand strategy by covering all channels (off-/online)

This role is closely collaborating with BUs on a category marketing level, with the aim to increase market share and optimizing all local category activities to deliver agreed upon ROI measures.

For our prestigious Client from the FMCG industry, building a HUB in Poland, we are looking for a person for the position: Head of Category Management.

Description

  • Responsibility and central contact person for all product-driven activities of a product category for the cluster and 7 subsidiaries
  • Ensure cluster strategy alignment with BU-category strategy
  • Feedback to Headquarter in terms of competition, new products, etc.
  • Definition of cluster product assortment (line-up and pricing) with regard to turnover, sales volume and profitability for the cluster and subsidiaries
  • Conducting market analyses (e.g. GfK-data, competitor information, customer feedbacks, consumer insights)
  • Ensure state of the art product presentations at POS
  • Define distribution and POS objectives together with the sales departments for all channels
  • Oversee all training measures such as training plans, concept and content for the category
  • Analysis of sales & turnover development and derivation of product measures & campaigns
  • Leading new product launches and phase-outs
  • Preparation of the annual marketing plan per category and channel (off- and online) based on market requirements
  • Creation and definition of national appliance promotions

Profile

  • Bachelor/Master preferred (Marketing, Business Administration or of a comparable study program)
  • 5+ years Relevant work experience, experience in leading a category in a business and/or managing product launches
  • Interdisciplinary interface management
  • Project and process management
  • Leadership capabilities
  • Entrepreneurial thinking, analytical skills, motivation, strong commitment and target orientation
  • Intercultural knowledge
  • Excellent written and oral communication in English
  • Strong mobility/international experience and willingness to travel
