We are working as a recruitment provider searching on our Client's behalf for a person in the following role:
Hadoop Administrator
Location: Kraków
Our Team is currently looking for skilled individual to act as Hadoop Administrator. The team identifies emergent risk issues and financial crime proactively, quickly and effectively, preventing illicit actors accessing the global financial system. Is using Big Data technology to build tools that enable our global teams to conduct intelligence-based investigations. The Hadoop Team supports 5 ecosystems, with a total of 160 nodes. With an expansion of the team’s resources, more Hadoop ecosystems from other areas within the business function will fall under the administration of the team
Key Accountabilities:
Implement and upgrade Hadoop ecosystem
Provide L3 Support to business users and development pods (like DevOps)
Assist in implementation of the migration of Hadoop from on-premises to the cloud
Working and partnering with business, development and infrastructure teams
Depending on experience also will be involved in development responsibilities – in addition to maintaining the cluster, making use of the cluster, building out our platform – big data financial crime analytics platform
Requirements:
Hortonworks certified administrator or solid experience with Hortonworks
In depth knowledge of HIVE, HDFS
Knowledge of YARN, Tez
Hands on experience in Spark - with Scala or Java/Python
Grounded in kerberized clusters and proficient in security principles
Not required but desired:
Very useful skills: Google Cloud Platform, DevOps/Agile practices (Scrum/KANBAN)
Nice to have: Datameer/Anaconda/Jupyter, RHEL/Shell scripting/REGEX, knowledge of Python and PySpark, Cloudbreak, HBase
BDD/TDD, Jaca, Microservices, ElasticSearch
