Google Cloud Platform Architect

As a Cloud Architect, you will join a team working in scrum, whose goal is to design and develop Commercial Banking Data & Analytics Data Solutions (data models, diagrams) at GCP.
The program is a multi-annual and the cloud platform will evolve as part of it. You will be responsible for both the definition of data management strategy and analysis, and for designing and providing data solutions for global business consumption.
Responsibilities:
- Provision of thought leadership and architectural direction of data structure design
- Rapidly understanding business needs and strategies through regular interactions with the project teams, business users and IT architects
- Establishing data architectural governance processes where warranted
- Providing ongoing support to project teams to ensure GCP architectural data designs do materialise as interface correctly with delivered software in the development and production environment
Required skills:
- About 5 years of experience as an architect
- Certified and experience working on the Google Cloud Platform and broad knowledge of GCP concepts/services
- Good technical background related to Data Warehouse/RDBMS in one or more technologies: Oracle, Teradata, DB2, MSSQL, MySQL
- Experience with BI/ETL tools
- Highly analytical with excellent attention to detail
- Experienced in analysing business needs/strategies and turning them into effective architectural solutions
- Excellent English communication (both written and spoken)
- Demonstrable track record of delivery as an architect
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team
- Ability to work with business users and stakeholders at all levels with confidence
