For our client, a major multinational company in the automotive industry with growing production operations in Poland, we are looking to recruit a highly motivated and experienced individual for the position of Chief Accountant. Job description:
- Responsible for leading and managing full accounting operations including the supervision of a team of 8 accountants
- Prepare financial statements according to Polish Accounting Standards and IFRS
- Ensure that chart of accounts are in line with accounting standards, group controlling standards and legal requirements
- Supervise and monitor the entire accounting process including general ledger, accounts payables, accounts receivables, inventory, fixed assets and cash management
- Responsible for preparing tax reports (VAT, CIT)
- Manage, develop, coach, and recruit operational team of accountants
- Work closely with controlling team to prepare cyclical budgets and forecasts
- Maintain relationships with third parties including financial institutions, auditors, tax authorities, etc.
- Proactively work on improving accounting process and take an active role on bringing positive change into the organization

Requirements:
- University education with accounting or finance related degree
- Minimum 3-5 years experience in accounting, including at least 1 year of managerial experience
- Experience in polish and international accounting standards
- Excellent knowledge of commercial and tax laws
- Ability to prepare tax reports CIT and VAT
- Proven track record of leadership with the ability to motivate people
- Understands key business drivers and proactively seeks out opportunities and recommends solutions that can be effectively supported
- Experience with the use of information technology to effectively satisfy business needs
- Good written and oral communication skills in Polish and English
- Minimum 3-5 years experience in accounting, including at least 1 year of managerial experience
- Experience in polish and international accounting standards
- Excellent knowledge of commercial and tax laws

- Proven track record of leadership with the ability to motivate people
