Responsible for the development of a BU quality strategy and supporting the individual sites to drive it's effective implementation, creating strong quality awareness and focus to meet the needs of both internal and external customers. Ongoing monitoring of quality performance across all sites, stepping in to address deteriorating performance or repeating quality failures.

Client Details

Our client is a global organization operating in the heavy industry market. Many years of activity and development allowed our client to play a key role in the forefront of companies in this sector. Supporting the further development of the company, we are looking for a candidate who would be interested in taking up long-term cooperation in the newly created position of Global Quality Manager for 23 production plants globaly. Role will be located near to Krakow.

Description

  • Drive the development of detailed improvement plans by site and by product line to improve product quality, reducing PPM by 80% by end 2025
  • Reduce the number of CCARs with D5 not closed within 60 days by 30%
  • Work with the Product Managers to define PPM targets for each product line
  • Reinforce use of the 8D Methodology across the BU and ensure that the relevant sites/functions have a sufficient number of trained people
  • Establish capability of site responsible quality resources and provide coaching to meet the desired level of effectiveness in the use of control plans, shop floor quality standards and 8D methodology
  • Confirm current performance via an audit of each site's existing ways of working, prioritizing the most frequent CCARs and root causes
  • Identify and share best practice across the sites
  • Support the sites to ensure revised ways of working are consistent with the documented standards eg. ISO900
  • Ensure that CCAR, SCAR and other Quality Information Systems are working and used in the most appropriate way by each siteReview monthly CCAR and SCAR reports prepared by the sites

Profile

  • 10+ years working in quality focused sectors with highly developed quality systems eg. automotive, aerospace, advanced engineering
  • 5+ years expirience working on regional Quality Manager position (4+ countries)
  • Sound knowledge of quality management systems effective in an industrial or engineering environment
  • Very strong in problem solving methodologies (8D or equivalent) and continuous improvement mindset
  • Self-starter, able to manage own work and comfortable working on new initiatives
  • Negotiation and influencing skills - ability to get things done when dealing with indirect reports rather than direct reports
  • Scouts, absorbs and uses technological advances, ideas and inputs to develop new pragmatic solutions
  • Comfortable working to aggressive timelines and budgets in a decentralised international organisation
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel internationally TR: 50%
  • Fluent English essential, additional languages welcome
  • Highly complex and technical (functional knowledge) dealing with multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams
