General Ledger Team Leader with German

For our client with an SSC located in Kraków, we are looking for a GL Team Leader with German.
Your responsibilities:

• Leading the General Ledger team and overseeing daily operations
• Preparation and posting of journal entries
• Preparation of financial statements
• Performing month-end and year-end closure activities
• Reconciling intercompany balances
• Maintaining General Ledger Master data
• Performing balance sheet reconciliations, including cash transactions reconciliation
• Analyzing, maintaining, and reporting fixed assets
• Ensuring accurate and timely delivery of required financial reports
• Updating financial data in databases to ensure accuracy and availability when needed
• Cooperating with internal and external auditors
• Participating in global improvement projects, initiating process improvements, and assisting with other accounting projects
• Assisting senior accountants in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings
• Cooperating with the local finance team and other departments

Requirements:

• Proven experience in the GL area in an SSC/BPO environment
• Advanced German (min. B2) and English (min. B2)
• Bachelor39s or Master’s degree, preferably in Finance or Accounting
• Strong leadership skills and experience in team management
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially strong MS Excel skills
• Ability to learn quickly, process-oriented, and a team player
