General Ledger Accountant (IFRS or GAAP knowledge)

We are currently seeking a General Ledger Accountant (IFRS or GAAP knowledge) for our client with a Shared Service Center (SSC) located in Kraków.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and post journal entries.
- Generate financial statements.
- Conduct month-end and year-end closure activities.
- Reconcile intercompany balances.
- Maintain General Ledger Master data.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations, including cash transactions.
- Analyze Profit and Loss (P&L) accounts, primarily focusing on operating expenses (OPEX).
- Maintain and report fixed assets.
- Ensure accurate and timely delivery of required financial reports.
- Update financial data in databases to ensure immediate availability when needed.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors.
- Participate in global improvement projects, proactively suggesting process enhancements.
- Assist senior accountants in monthly and yearly closings.
- Work closely with the local finance team and other departments.
Requirements:
- Experience in the RTR/GL area within an SSC/BPO environment.
- Advanced English proficiency (minimum B2 level).
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in Finance or Accounting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly strong MS Excel skills.
- Quick learner with a process-oriented mindset and excellent teamwork abilities.
- GAAP or IFRS experience.
