Fleet Operation Manager

The position of Fleet Manager International is responsible for the design and the efficient running of the company’s car program, strategy and approach. This role plays an integral part in the overall management of the company car fleet and will be required to ensure optimum cost effective business support, vehicle management and compliance.

 

You will be responsible for

• Define company's new strategy for Fleet
• Establish Fleet standard program requirements,
• customized to  business needs aligned to our margin structure and prudent approach
• Reviewing and analyzing market data and making final recommendations on car schemes (driven by the benefits team)
• Assess countries with small car footprint and define possible options including whether an allowance would be better for the company than providing a company car
• Establish Fleet Steering Committee and governance to include stakeholders from relevant functions (HR, Finance, Procurement, Benefits, HSE)
• Ensure transition of  company car  to allow for business continuity
• Ensure contracts for service providers and fleet providers are effectively transferred
• Identify alternative solutions for countries with low employee volume where current solutions cannot be replicated
• Define future state company car positioning in strong collaboration with Benefits team, HSE, HR BPs and Purchasing
• Review current situation across all countries and define opportunities for consistency and optimization of costs ,ensure the reduction of service providers/transition to new providers and the right balance of car allowance vs company car
• Take into consideration fleet size in each country and the volume of drivers.to determine the best approach and adopt an innovative and fit for purpose mindset
• Analyze the local car schemes alongside with market data/insights provided by respective C&B leaders
• Where changes are to be implemented across various countries work with HR and communications on the change management approach and provide adequate communications material and support which will then be adapted locally
• Establish a network or local fleet contact points in each country and ensure this team connects on a regular basis and foster best practice sharing
• Ensure accurate tracking and overview of all company cars and service providers
• Work with HSE to ensure HSE standards are met
• Address issues that are escalated and provide advice and guidance to the local team. Manage exceptions that require decision beyond the local level

 

We would like you to have

• Minimum of 4+ years’ of experience in Car Fleet Management ideally with multiple country experience
• Extensive knowledge of working with leading Car Leasing firms
• Strong negotiation skills, individual must have effective negotiation experience
• Have a good understanding of applicable laws in each of the countries where company operates its car fleet
• Individual most have strong communication and interpersonal skills 
• Demonstrated ability to develop highly functioning business relationships at senior levels both within and outside the organization
• Self-starter who can work effectively under pressure
• Ability to work well under tight deadlines in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Must be organized, detail oriented, responsive and be able to adapt quickly to a rapidly changing environment
• Technically proficient on standard business applications and able to learn new technologies as they relate to this role
• Excellent written and spoken English
