Financial Reporting Senior Manager

This role will manage the service delivery and operations of Control processes supported in the Krakow center. The role is accountable for Control & Reporting Financial service delivery, continuous process improvement and optimization of a broad scope of Control services (month end close, financial reporting, statutory reporting, tax reporting and compliance), meeting defined service levels and KPIs, including customer satisfaction.

The role will manage the GBS Krakow Control budget, process documentation, compliance and audit, local legal audit/risk management and local vendor management.
The role will be on the leadership team of the Krakow GBS Site and will work with the Europe and Sub-Saharan Africa Sector Reporting Lead and the Global Control Lead as work is transitioned and connects are built across new Global Control Service sites.

Accountabilities:

Control Delivery Strategy and Krakow Site Strategy

  • Partner with the Global Control Lead and Reporting Lead to review the Control Shared Services Delivery strategy for the Krakow site: Service Delivery Model, process transition roadmap, SLA definition and service catalogue
  • Partner with the Krakow Site Leader: Contribute to the strategy, processes and standards for all Control Service Integration aspects: technology tools, collaboration mechanisms, integration scope, planning sessions, knowledge transfer and governance, to setup and deploy repeatable service integration processes
  • Lead the Krakow Site Control delivery team: Translate the related parts of the Control strategy into operational plans; monitor compliance and initiate corrective/optimizing measures in case of deviations/exceptions

Control Service Setup

  • Partner with Global Control Lead and Reporting Lead to set up a fully operational Control shared service organization in Krakow within overall project timelines and goals
  • Ensure that the site set up supports the GBS business case assumptions and deliverables
  • Mitigate key risks during integrations: Ensure local mitigation actions are identified, tracked and executed with the right escalation and support model

Global Control Service Delivery

  • Accountable for successful integration and transition of new Control services based on the process transition plans and meeting all defined SLAs and KPIs as per the road-map
  • Ensure that the Krakow site work process and services are integrated with a focus on continuous improvement, optimization and productivity approach
  • Periodically review the efficiency of delivery processes of the site and contribute to the development of global policies, procedures and processes based on process learnings and feedback
  • Drive Control process synergy across business units, sectors, Control COEs and outsourced delivery centers to optimize and cultivate Control innovation and effectiveness
  • Responsible to develop and drive local business continuity plans
  • Proactively apply organizational diagnostic expertise to analyze and identify potential design improvements, providing change management support and appropriate communications to prepare implementation of new services / processes
  • Work closely with Control stakeholders across the company and the Global Control Lead to drive respective initiatives and to anticipate future needs and opportunities

People & Organization

  • Responsible for the leadership, organization, coordination, development and execution of the Control services and delivery teams in Krakow site
  • Support talent development and exchange across delivery teams to ensure that future organization structure allows to attract and retain the best talent for the future
  • Drive team spirit, cultural change and foster diversity and inclusion agenda at the Krakow site
  • Manage external associates and vendor relationship, in local scope wherever applicable

Monitoring & Control

  • Drive periodic cost and efficiency analyses to support productivity objectives, monitor, initiate additional activities if required
  • Ensure compliance with Krakow legal framework, SOX requirements, etc.

Key skills required:

  • Min. 8 years in Control Operations/Shared Services/service integration environment
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA) with 10 years post qualified experience
  • Experience in Global environment/Matrix organizations, living and working in several global locations
  • Broad experience in multiple Control disciplines (e.g. month close close, financial reporting, tax reporting) is required
