- The mission of the Finance Manager (FM) is to provide the Center Management, the European CFO not located in Poland and other stakeholders, including Supervisory Board with reliable information on finance actual and forecasts.
As the functional responsible for Finance in Krakow center, the FM will be the privilege entry point for all center finance matters and is accountable for coordination of finance disciplines (more particularly tax and accounting topics), the development of the staff, the tools and procedures referring to the finance area with focus on statutory regulations within the center.
The FM also has an obligation to sign some reports to the external authorities and transactional documents as the legally authorised person.
Additionally, the FM is responsible for Internal Control.
Key responsibilities:
• Accountable for all local coordination of finance activities (Operations Control, Treasury, Internal Control, Accounting and Tax)
• Responsible of the relationships with external and internal audits, including tax audits
• Control of alignment with the fiscal regulations and enforce local discipline
• Control of accounting reliability, assets safety, operation effectiveness and regulation compliance
• Timely and correctly prepared financial reports/closing periods for the Group and statutory requirements
• Implementation of internal control processes by evaluation of financial, legal, fiscal and other risks and liabilities
• Cooperation with local banks and control of banking transaction. Good understanding on hedging related topics.
• Contribution to the Entity financial planning and management reporting and performance analysis, including preparation of the reliable financial information for the Supervisory Board Meetings,
• To ensure the appropriate processes and tools/systems are in place
• Support and develop the financial teams with experience and knowledge
• Taking measures to protect against financial risk - implementation of appropriate procedures
• Interface with projects and the project control team
Competencies and Profile:
• Minimum 7 year of progressive finance experience, thereof min 3 years in managerial position
• Master Degree in Finance/Accounting/Tax,
• Good knowledge of Polish tax law (Income tax, WHT, VAT related to the local and international market),
• Practical knowledge of accounting rules (both local GAAP and IFRS) and financial statement preparation,
• Fluency in English and Polish. German would be a plus
• Experience with SAP would be an asset,
• Good Interpersonal/Communication skills,
• Very good analytical and detail oriented skills,
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organization skills
