Finance Controller for Region (north Warsaw)
We are looking for ambitious Finance Controller with experience in group reporting and cooperation with units abroad. Ideal candidate has experience on independent position in finance reporting / FP & A / controlling in an international firm. Accounting background would be an asset as well as ACCA qualification.
The company is located in northern part of Warsaw.

Our Client is an international (American, family owned) company with developed business in the European region, where Warsaw is the centre of Operations. The office is located in the northern part of Warsaw.
Description
- Providing analytical support for financial information requirement beyond standard reporting framework
- Leading Month-End closing activities for the companies within a Region
- Active participation in the process of financial data consolidation
- Supporting Budgeting and Forecasting processes
- Cooperation with company's Directors and Managers from various functions
- Cooperation with internal and external audits
- Leading SOX agenda for a Region
- Active participation in various projects
- Analysing and presenting financial results with a proposal to improve performance
- Coordinating the preparation of the annual Financial Statements
- Recommending actions to improve the efficiency of business processes
- Supporting expenses optimisation processes
- Ensuring data consistency between operating systems in the Region
- Oversee the operations of the financial controlling department, including an organisation adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives
- Developing and inspiring the financial controlling team. Be part of a genuine team (Controlling, Accounting, Credit), which works together to support the business growth and improve the financial processes, controls and reporting
Profile
- Degree/qualifications in Accounting/Business preferred; a professional degree required
- At least 3 years of work experience in various financial/accounting positions
- Computer literate with a good understanding in Excel and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of bookkeeping procedures
- Good knowledge of controls framework
- Knowledge of accounting standards (US GAAP / IFRS)
- Understanding of business processes as well as experience in modelling business processes
- Knowledge of taxation systems (VAT, CIT)
- Good knowledge of financial and management accounting
- Knowledge of SOX
- Experience in cooperation with internal and external audits
- Highly developed communication skills and ability to work under time pressure
- Open and analytical mind
- Easiness in making interpersonal contacts (openness to others)
- Good English
- Supervisory experience
- Business trips within the Region up to 15% of the working time
