Description
- Creating and maintaining standard end-user configurations and assisting with the creation of automated software packages
- Performing administration of software distribution, application and security patch management, endpoint security, remote support and other enterprise PC desktop/mobility devices management
- Assisting with documenting and maintaining standard configurations that support organizational security policies
- Troubleshooting and resolving client hardware and software-related issues
- Developing reports that provide insight and analysis of software license usage, software, and hardware compliance, operating systems and hosted application software distribution
- Preparing, testing, and releasing software applications and security updates to production
- Maintaining the control and process environment for the organization's gold standard operating system image library ensuring client configuration integrity, controlled access, and incremental versioning
- Supporting the client system testing environment for evaluating hardware, operating systems, hosted applications, service packs and patches, security configurations, and image deployment
- Building the service reference architecture mappings of the legacy, standard, and future state of the end user PC desktop and mobility portfolio
Profile
- End User Engineering Experience
- Bachelor's in Information Technology or related field
- Very good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to assess and troubleshoot problems
- Strong knowledge of Windows-based environments (e.g., Active Directory)
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure and knowledge of Intune will be an asset
- Strong knowledge of Mobile Device Management tools (MDM)
- Strong industry knowledge of smart devices (mobile smartphones, tablets, IoT),
- Strong IT knowledge foundation (e.g., infrastructure, networking),
- Basic understanding of ITIL / Service Management Principles,
- As an asset: certifications related to managing end-user technologies (e.g., MD-101: Managing Modern Desktops).
