EMEA VAT Lead

We are looking for a person who will take the position of the EMEA VAT Lead. He or she will work on VAT planning projects and have the responsibility of the Company's EMEA VAT compliance activities.

Our client is a global manufacturer of diversified chemical products. The company is currently establishing a new Business Centre in Kraków, where it is locating new competences

Description

• Manage the VAT compliance activities across the EMEA region
• Lead and develop the team of VAT compliance specialists
• Proactively identify potential VAT planning opportunities
• Work on VAT Planning projects as required
• Liaise with our VAT compliance outsourcing partner
• Identify and manage VAT risks & opportunities to minimize tax exposure and optimize cash flow
• Interact with the business units, external advisors, and tax authorities
• Stay up to date on changes in VAT regulations and assess their impact on our business
• Create and maintain a control framework and policy for managing VAT Compliance
• Ensure end-to-end reconciliation of the VAT balances

Profile

• A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
• Minimum of 5+ years of VAT experience in a large public accounting firm or tax department
• Very good knowledge of the English language
• Excellent writing and communication skills
• Strong analytical and leadership skills
• ERP (SAP) knowledge would be a plus
