EMEA Categories Manager - Raw Materials - NEW POSITION

We are searching for a strategic, very experienced person for the global position of Categories Manager within raw Materials for a global company developing its new SSC structures in Kraków. The role will be performed in a hybrid model with a flexible working policy.

Our client is a global, American company manufacturing chemicals. Their wide range of products are sold to numbers of consumer and industrial end markets.

Description

• Pursue all approaches to creating value and reducing costs of Raw Materials including leveraging contracts; global sourcing; innovation opportunities, workshops with technical teams; substitution alternatives; supplier engagement standardization; consolidation and rationalization; supply chain optimization
• Close collaboration with procurement, business, and functional leaders
• Lead the annual procurement strategy workshop for your category
• Provide timely information on savings performance, commodity/category strategies, pricing and spend forecasts, market/industry conditions and trends, and competitive intelligence
• Active participation on key internal meeting such as S&OP, Stage gate, Raw Materials price
• Successfully leverage key resources from operations, technology and business unit to improve the process
• Ensure compliances and a safe working environment in the total procurement processes

Profile

• Experience within global structures - great understanding of global market
• Being able to provide a strategic plan forward for the raw material category
• Fluent English
• Very senior experience within purchasing in strategic positions (+/- 5 years)
• Experience in team building and people management
• Ability to drive change
• Strategic thinking
• Master degree - nice to have
