For our Client, FinTech Company, located in Cracow, we are currently looking for a person interested in the role of a DevOps Engineer.
Your new role
We are looking for a talented DevOps Engineer to support the company’s infrastructure and deliver advancements in performance, safety and monitoring that result in significantly better customer experience. Working as a conduit between delivery teams and hosting provider you will be responsible for servers infrastructure serving as supporting arm for backend team. You will work closely with other teams within the company and external vendors from multiple locations. Challenging role in a fast changing world of a startup environment.
Responsibilities:
• Plan, organize and execute backup, recovery and redundancy operations
• Liaise with hosting vendor to manage and monitor all installed systems infrastructure
• Analyse and isolate issues, make recommendations for upgrades
• Ensure highest level of systems availability and maintain system efficiency
• Test application performance for bottlenecks, identify, suggest and implement solutions
• Work closely with developers on implementing backend solutions
• Set up, manage and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment servers and tools (Jenkins)
What you'll need to succeed
• 3+ years of system administration experience of web based products in a B2C technology organisation
• Experience with cloud solutions AWS, GCP
• Experience developing "infrastructure as a code" in a Cloud environment (Ansible, Terraform)
• Experience with Hashicorp stack (nomad, terraform, vault, consul)
• Experience in administrating big MySQL databases (experience with Percona is also welcomed)
• Administer web servers and loadbalancers (HaProxy, Nginx)
• Log aggregation and monitoring (Kibana, Logstash)
• Experience in creating deployment solutions
• Extensive experience in troubleshooting and documenting
• Familiarity with Atlassian products (Confluence, Jira, Bitbucket)
• Ability to creatively solve technology problems
• Demonstrated experience of unix based systems and networking protocols
• Minor development experience
• Proven track record of working with high availability systems
• Ability to learn fast and thrive in a fast changing environment
• High level understanding of backend and frontend technologies and frameworks
• Communication skills (both in Polish and English)
Nice to have:
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
