Your new company
For our Client - International company with expanded IT Department, we are looking for Desktop Operations SME.
Your new role
This role is a part of the newly established pod, specifically the Desktop pod which will cover both Windows and Apple MAC based products. The intent of these new pods is to increase the infrastructure automation provided to company's staff and to deliver infrastructure products and services in an agile manner.
On a position of a Desktop Operations SME you will work within the pod to achieve the strategic aims of a department by helping deliver and manage products and services in an agile manner. The role will take direction from the defined pod leader or assigned team leader and will be expected to work closely with other members of the pod.
Your responsibilities will include working within the desktop pod, covering some or all of: Agile development of Windows and Apple Desktop Infrastructure related products, 3rd level support of said products, thought leadership, technical documentation, verbal and written communication, financial management. You will be a part of a team that performs sustainable continuous improvement, identifying and removing organisational barriers affecting the team, processes and products owned. Your duty will be also to maintain an agile mind-set by adopting the practices and processes identified as being required for our new pods, leveraging agile delivery methods, associated frameworks and tools to do this.
What you'll need to succeed
An ideal candidate for this role will have at least 5 years of experience working in support areas of Windows and/or Apple MAC. You should have experience working in large-scale multinational companies and also knowledge of Windows environments, Windows OS, Windows Controls and policies, Apple Mac and linked technologies: Mac OS X, Jamf Pro / Jamf Cloud, Windows on Mac (e.g., Boot Camp, Parallels, Virtual Box), AppleScript, Automaton workflows, Mac deployment technologies.
It would be great if you had also experience of associated technology areas: Microsoft Office, browsers (Safari, IE, Chrome), Java, Mac security models and tooling, identity and access management tooling, Active Directory, Workspace One, Apple Remote Desktop.
