Database Administrator
Enterprise Operation Team (EO) has an exciting opportunity for a creative and experienced database administrator. EO team works across cutting edge technologies latest version of Oracle software. Team consists of highly skilled Database engineers and Database architects and administrators with vast experience this gives great growth opportunity in database field for a candidate. We face multiple challenges related to MAA architecture in order to meet customer’s expectations.
Duties/responsibilities:
- The candidate must keep stability and reliability of a databases proactively react to data growth / risks / issues
- Implements enterprise database standards across the portfolio of databases
- The candidate must demonstrate very strong problem solving and communication and must be willing to work with several product lines on several assignments concurrently
- Keep the databases current version maintain the most possible uptime and minimize MTTR when incident occur, proactively resolve database risks
‘Must have’ skills:
- Experience as Oracle Database Administrator or related field Unix administration
- In-depth GoldenGate replication experience. Configuration and troubleshooting.
- Proficient in Oracle SQL. Knowledge of Oracle dictionary views
- Vast knowledge of different recovery scenarios using RMAN in Production environment
- In-depth knowledge of Oracle utilities SQL loader/exp/imp/RMAN
- Familiar with OEM from user perspective Diagnostick Pack/Tuning Pack. Grid Control administration is nice to have
- Familiar with Red Hat Linux or any other flavor of Linux
- In-depth knowledge of Oracle RDMBS upgrade process
- Knowledge of UNIX Operating Systems including storage / network infrastructure is a definitive plus
- Collaborate with internal customers/leading database standup/migration projects for internal organizations
- Engaging other DBAs helping in work distribution if needed
‘Nice to have’ skills:
- Experience in writing PL/SQL procedures / packages is a plus
- Oracle RAC knowledge maintaining rolling upgrades rolling patches
- Experience with Unix shell scripting. Perl/Ruby scripting will be a plus.
- Oracle MAA solutions: Oracle RAC / Dataguard
- Familiar with other databases and data solutions such as MySQL, Mongo DB, Informix, SQL Server, Versant, and/or DB2
