Description
We are looking for a Data Modeller who will carry out a project for our Client - one of the largest banking and financial services organizations in the world, providing a comprehensive range of financial services to around 60 million customers.
Markets Finance IT department is seeking a Data Modeller for the purpose of rolling out interest rate derivatives and FX Options to Dubai and Euphrates. The Data Modeller will deliver the Front to back implementation from Front Office into SPARC and then onto downstream reporting and reconciliation systems. Focus on experience in Technical implementations is essential.
Main tasks:
- Planning - define, own and manage project and day to activity of the Performance and Optimisation Service and component teams
- Manage resource assigned to your service on a day to day basis ensure that these are optimally utilized and focused on the priorities
- Be proactive in ensuring that the Production systems are optimal by building tools and automated scripts for optimal performance and stability
- Provide Governance and oversight of all change activity that will hit the production platforms
- Manage the relationship with IT owners of up-stream, down-stream systems and reference data, and work in partnership to ensure delivery from systems
- Responsible for the "Build Phase" of the all optimisation improvements - ensuring all upstream, down-stream systems deliver required code changes in order to meet new FTP data feed requirements
- Supporting, driving and managing and overseeing OAT and Performance tests. Oversee and support DR (disaster recovery) tests
- Ensure SLAs are documented and agreed and in-place for upstream and downstream system owners
- Provide necessary input to line manager/PMO for the annual budget process
- Manage the overall infrastructure
- Be aware of the Operational Risk scenario associated with your role and act in a manner that takes account of operational risk considerations
Requirements:
- Strong delivery manager with 5+ years’ experience gained in an investment banking environment
- Excellent Project Management skills with proven track record working across full life cycle on large scale projects which involve many dependent systems teams up and downstream of the application being built
- Strong Interpersonal skills
- Self-starter and highly motivated
- Knowledge of Global Markets traded products, trade life-cycle and processing flows, principally for derivative products
- Experience and ability to make technical design/implementation decisions
