CRO and Risk Generalist
Resposibilities:
CROs and Risk Generalist will be responsible for protecting the organisation through appropriate risk management, ensuring that risks are captured, understood, clearly communicated and potential sources of loss are minimised in a cost-effective manner. Role holder will carry out activities that will include most of the following:
Support our strategy through a leadership accountability, for a part of a function or functional responsibility within a region, in line with designated responsibilities
Provide input to strategic plans for function, business or region and will be expected to shape strategic objectives into operational plans
Lead a team of professionals or influence within their team/ across the business with a high level of discretion
Develop and maintain relationships with specific stakeholders and manage/build consensus on complex or challenging technical or business issues on behalf of the leadership
Contribute to functional planning
Direct large region-wide or cross-functional projects having major business importance and translate high-level direction into specific action plans to remedy issues
Required:
Bachelor's in information systems, computer science, or equivalent work experience
Have a 4+ years experience in a senior risk management function within a financial institution
A thorough understanding of Strategic risk, Financial risk, Operational risk, and Regulatory risk
Ability to maintain awareness of operational risk and minimize the likelihood of it occurring including its identification, assessment, mitigation and control, loss identification and reporting
Experience in identifying, managing, monitoring and controlling risks and implementing risk control measures accordingly across the key risk areas in IT
Significant knowledge and experience of best practice risk management and governance frameworks and of the regulatory environment, including key regulatory regime
Ability to shape the solution for minimising the risk and resolving emergent needs for regulatory compliance issues
Experience working in relevant environment/s like IT Quality, IT Service Management, IT Infrastructure Delivery (Operations) or in an Application Development Team
Familiarity with standard IT Service Management related practices
Ability to communicate effectively, in both written and verbal formats, with senior executive-level leaders
Experience identifying key issues, involve affected parties, design solutions, obtain buy-in, and communicate effectively through resolution
Ability to influence, partner, and negotiate with senior business leaders to gain commitment to accomplish business goals
Ability to deliver concise time critical information to all levels of management, technology and business teams
Not required but desired:
Experience working with agile methodologies is preferred
Experience of IT architecture
Strong Microsoft Office skills
ITIL certification is desirable
