Your new role
Our Client have adopted a ‘Cloud First’ strategy in order to meet the growing market demand for speed to market, delivery, flexibility and to stay competitive in an increasingly challenging marketplace. In order to facilitate the adoption of this strategy we are looking to recruit an experienced Control-M Admin to join team.
The job holder will :
- Help to develop the Cloud strategy for our existing product set and drive forward the adoption of Cloud technologies.
- Evaluate existing and new products and their functionality in relation to meeting business needs and known use cases.
- Develop and drive the product roadmaps to meet customer and business demands.
- Manage the vendor relationships to ensure bugs and issues are dealt with in a timely manner, to leverage maximum value from existing contracts, and influence vendor product strategy.
- Maintenance and support of existing critical scheduling and workload automation products across Windows and Unix platforms.
Responsibilities:
Delivery
- Deliver solution/tasks as per procedures and as applicable to business requirements in line with best practice
- Demonstrate efficiency in delivering tasks as part of a team and with minimal supervision
- Deliver solution/tasks with demonstration of Technical knowledge
- Maintain existing scheduling infrastructure and application in line with policy
- Support the development of a scheduling Cloud strategy
- The job holder will be expected to demonstrate effective communication skills with key Stakeholders, both written and verbal.
- Provide timely and accurate status updates.
- Understanding of functional requirements and translation of business requirements into technical specifications
- Liaise with Stakeholders on various requests.
- The role holder will collaborate closely with the Control-M team members.
- Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the Company's brand.
- Ensure strict adherence of Group Compliance Policies
What you'll need to succeed
The role holder is required to:
- Experience of working within an IT Environment.
- Good understanding and exposure to Cloud technologies and cloud service providers - GCP, AWS, Azure.
- Previous experience of maintaining and supporting a non-Cloud hosted IT technology product (e.g. Control-M, Automic, IWS). Experience should include disciplines such as product / system upgrades, disaster recovery and resilience testing, data backup and restore testing, managing security access controls.
- Experience of testing, evaluating, and deploying new functionality released by vendors.
- Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
