Chief Accountant
YOUR ROLE
We are looking for someone to process, record and control accounting transactions (financial accounting) and perform specific accounting work while complying with statutory regulations and internal standards and procedures.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
- Collecting and analysing information
- Securing compliance with local tax (VAT, CIT) and statutory regulations. Being responsible for timely submission of necessary tax declarations and preparation of statutory financial statements
- Reviewing and controlling reconciliation process at monthly / quarterly closing cycles
- Identifying and resolving issues across different sets of financial data
- Identify opportunities to improve closing activities
- Generating statutory financial reports, according to IFRS standards (quarterly and annually)
- Being responsible for monthly consolidation of result according to guidelines of CEVA Group
- Identifying & providing key financial data to enable decision making at senior leadership level
- Ensuring implementation and understanding of the financial policies and procedures in compliance with local legislation and the company rules
- Cooperating with internal and external auditors
- Ensuring internal controls in place, taking a leading role in mitigating tax risks
- Cooperating with SSC and external tax advisors
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting
- Degree in Finance or Accounting
- Very good command of English language
- Experience in international corporate environment
- Highly motivated person with analytical skills and a keen eye for detail and accuracy while keeping bigger picture in mind
- Readiness to question the status quo and propose changes and improvements to accounting processes
- Deep understanding of how operational processes link to the financial statements
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Computer Literacy: MS Office (particularly Excel), and an ERP system (SAP highly appreciated, OneStream consolidation)
- Orientation on compliance & controllership
