Chief Accountant (m/f)
Our Client is looking for a Chief Accountant for replacement to cover maternity leave (approx. 18 months) for substitution contract or contract of mandate (umowa zlecenie). You'll be responsible for full accounting activities and daily cooperation with Finance Manager.

Description
- Preparation of tax returns and tax settlements - VAT, VAT-UE, JPK, CIT, CIT-10Z, IFT-2/R, ORD-U, WHT
- Monthly calculation of income tax and deferred income tax
- Coordination of the month-end process, Corptax data completion
- Audit / reconciliation of GL accounts
- Preparation of reports to the Central Statistical Office
- Cooperation with external institutions - tax office, banks, Central Statistical Office, lawyers
- Preparation of financial statements
- Tax and statutory audit
- Substantive supervision over the accounting department
- Payroll accounting; preparation of payroll bank transfers
- Checking and approval of bank transfers
- Preparation periodical and ad hoc management data reports
- Other tasks as needed - internal reports, settlements, explanations of current problems
- Perform any other tasks requested by the Line Manager - Finance Manager
Profile
- Master degree in Accounting or in related field (economics, finance, taxes)
- Several years of experience as an independent accountant or other team lead's position in the accounting department
- Advanced English
- Knowledge of local GAAP, regulatory reporting and taxes required
- Experience with accounting systems and financial reporting software; practical knowledge of SAP would be welcomed
- Good user knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel skills (functions, pivot table)
- Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve problems
- Attention to detail
- Ability to maintain flexibility, to plan and organize tasks and schedule work to meet deadlines
