Role Purpose:

The Methods & Capabilities Team, managed by the Methods & Capabilities Lead, will be responsible for the launch of the PPM practice and will provide a place to access standards and disciplines for delivering Technology change within the bank.
The Practice will provide a platform for lifting capability by providing access to learning pathways, career frameworks and information on Agile Delivery methodology across our change delivery teams, whilst focusing on attracting and retaining talent and providing a space for teams across Technology practices to discuss problems and co-create solutions.
The Methods & Capabilities Team will also seek to optimise headcount and support the transition of teams from Waterfall to Agile delivery of change in order to ensure they are structured to deliver in an agile way.
The role involves facing-off to senior stakeholders in the course of eliciting requirements, managing expectations and providing preparatory materials for governance forums

Key Activities:

Ownership of key deliverables aligned to the Technology PPM learning roadmap and strategy.
Support the provision of relevant and accessible learning on topics agreed as priorities for PPM.
Facilitate and support regular feedback mechanisms with Technology PPM practitioners in order to drive continuous improvement.
Collation and analysis of management information relevant to support prioritization of training needs and solutions.
Creation of materials to support relevant forums and engagement.
Support the establishment and development of the PPM practice globally. This includes bringing together practitioners in PPM and driving the Community of Practice and learning agenda.
Research industry wide external training content relevant to PPM.
Coordination of SMEs to provide content for training solutions.
Role Context: The Practice PM works under the direction of the Practice Lead.

Requirements:

Project Management experience
Demonstrated knowledge of Financial Services / Banking environment
Project Management skills (project planning and tracking, issues identification and management, project status reporting)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong knowledge of MS Office, Group standard tools (Clarity, SharePoint, Confluence)
Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders (internal as well as external)
Ability to work to strict deadlines and under pressure, deal with competing priorities
Excellent decision making & problem solving skills. Ability to work on own initiative
Excellent organizational & prioritizing skills
Advanced English skills
