Category Manager - Indirect Sourcing
Our company is an international industrial equipment producer with American DNA. They are one of the most innovative companies within the sector. Due to their sustainable growth and strengthening regional purchasing structures, the company is looking to recruit an experienced Indirect Category Manager. The successful candidate will be challenged with building and executing the strategy for major indirect categories in EMEA region.

Description
- Defining Indirect Sourcing Strategy for Europe and International regions
- Preparing spend analysis for the categories
- Proposing and supporting improvement projects (e.g. saving projects, procurement systems improvements, process improvements)
- Determining and developing appropriate sources of supply and maintains cooperative working relationships with vendors
- Preparing bid documents, performing bid analysis and overseeing the bid process
- Initiating bid/quote process for Indirect Materials, aiming at finding the best supplier in terms of price and other commercial conditions; making recommendations regarding purchases
- Monitoring suppliers delivery performance, proposing action plans for improvements, monitoring implementation
Profile
- Higher education, preferably economics, finance, or logistics
- Post-graduate degree in Purchasing (e.g. CIPS) would be an asset
- Minimum 4-5 years of relevant experience at a regional level
- Knowledge of general services, fleet, HR-related categories would be an asset
- Proven track of success in building and executing category strategy
- Excellent analytic skills, strong financial knowledge
- Demonstrated networking, relationship building and influencing skills
- Results and quality orientation, attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as a part of the team
- Fluent English both spoken and written
- Availability to travel up to 20% (within Europe)
