We are working as a recruitment provider searching on our Client's behalf for a person in the following role:

 

Automation Specialist

Location: Kraków

 

Our Financial Crime Threat Mitigation Team is currently looking for skilled individual to act as Automation Specialist. Is responsible for running a unified and global capability to identify, analyse, and investigate financial crime risk. The current team architecture is based on a large on premise Hadoop cluster for data management and analytics.

We have started a very ambitious programme to migrate data & analytics onto Google Cloud Platform.

 

Key Accountabilities:

The GSNA project is the next generation of tooling for combatting financial crime. Covering investment banking, commercial banking and retail banking globally. The architecture comprises Hadoop, elastic search microservices and relational databases. Currently it is hosted on premise, and has a migration to GCP planned.

Work with development teams to improve automation around development and deployment pipelines, across all architectural tiers

Work with development teams to define best practice around testing

Collaborate with central teams (architecture, security, engineering, networks) who are responsible for delivering baseline cloud architecture

Ensure that department's requirements are taken into account

Collaborate with other development teams that are also working to deliver use cases on GCP e.g. share best practice

Quantify effectiveness of improvements to development and deployment processes

 

Requirements:

A large on premise IT project (requirements, design, development, testing, data, infrastructure)

Strong working knowledge of cloud architecture solutions that maximize the use of PaaS offerings

Understand the concept of immutable infrastructure and ideally some experience on at least one project

Understand the terms "infrastructure-as-code" and "configuration-as-code" (what are the benefits?) & ability to differentiate toolsets/platforms used to implement each one

Hands on experience of Terraform (designing re-usable code & writing custom Terraform modules)

Strong working knowledge of Ansible or Saltstack configuration management

Experience of managing cloud infrastructure environments

Proven track record of delivery

A large cloud implementation/ migration project (preferably GCP)

Security (IAM, roles, service accounts, entitlements)

Data (databases, management, transformation, metadata)

RHEL 7.x administration

Bash/shell scripting and Python development

Automation toolset (Terraform, Ansible or Saltstack)

Continuous Integration/delivery servers - Bamboo/Jenkins 2 (Pipeline as Code)

DevOps principles (CICD, designing & implementing infrastructure/configuration-as-code)

Git

 

Not required but desired:

Hadoop (Hortonworks or Apache)

Nexus

Atlassian toolset (Bamboo, Bitbucket, JIRA, Confluence)

Hashicorp suite (Consul, Vault, Packer)

GitHub

Java

Network configuration, VPC, VPN, GCP Interconnect
