For our client, a globally operating manufacturing company in a phase of intensive growth, we are seeking an Accounting Manager.
Scope of responsibilities:We are seeking a skilled Accounting Manager to lead the accounting function at an international manufacturing company. This position is responsible for overseeing general ledger activities, accounts payable/receivable, fixed assets, and financial reporting, ensuring full compliance with internal and external standards. The ideal candidate will bring both technical expertise and strong leadership, along with a proactive, change-oriented mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounting operations
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting
- Lead a local accounting team and support their development
- Drive process improvement, cost efficiency, and automation
- Collaborate with HQ on financial systems and internal control frameworks
- Ensure compliance with statutory and corporate regulations (US GAAP, SOX)
Requirements
- Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field (certification is a plus)
- Min. 10 years’ experience, incl. 5 years in a leadership role
- Proven managerial effectiveness.
- Experience working in an international matrix reporting environment (desirable).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Hands-on knowledge of accounting systems and tools
- Fluent English (written and spoken) required
