VAT Advisor
Our Client is an international company with its Center of Excellence located in Poznań. For their developing structures, we are looking to hire an experienced candidate for the role of VAT Advisor
Client Details
As a member of the Center of Excellence Tax, the VAT Advisor will actively contribute to the development of a global VAT strategy, insure fair picture of VAT assets & liabilities, increase quality & transparency in VAT compliance activities and finally, support local/regional teams with appropriate advice whenever necessary.
Description
- Head of Tax back-up on VAT matters (when necessary)
- Propose/manage solutions to reduce VAT invested cash especially in countries where there is no VAT group or no other options to avoid VAT prefinancing
- Provide Business with tax advices on proposed flows, develop and present VAT trainings to both finance, tax and business communities to insure appropriate VAT awareness
- Actively participate on group strategic projects, make sure that VAT regulations are integrated in project feasibility and implementation phases (the core project being the conversion of legal sales entities into sales branches)
- Support Regional / Local in preparing replies to formal disputes with Authorities to protect BS group assets in the most efficient and effective way
- Monitor VAT legislations in all european countries where company operates and inform the organization accordingly (Tax Team, Regional Tax Responsibles etc)
- Initiate expected VAT changes and advise organization (including IT)
- Perform audits on VAT compliance on all submitted returns (VAT, IC SALES, INTRASTAT) and on transactional documents (invoices, credit notes etc) to insure consistency and efficient VAT recovery
Profile
- University degree in Finance, Economics and Accounting
- 10 years preferably in Big4 Tax Advisory dedicated to VAT matters
- Entrepreneurship; can work independently
- Business minded
- Cross Functional Team (CFT) approach
- Strong communication skills , also with external advisors and tax authorities
- Critical but objective and open minded
- Solution oriented
- Analytical skills, precise, rigorous and familiarity with numbers
