Transport Planner

Job Desription:

-Using DPS planning software and organisation of outbound delivery routes and haulier selection.
-Liaison with MMW operator with regard to shipment volumes, data queries, vehicle arrivals/departures.
-Use systems to control outbound orders
-Close communication with company's customer services for track and trace of outbound orders and issue escalation/resolution.
-Close communication with regard to inbound delivery vehicles, outbound route planning, haulier allocation
-Generation of inbound/outbound dock plan and daily status of vehicles arriving and depart from the MMW
-Evaluation of load configuration and cost comparison for proposed routing, utilising approved hauliers for work based on cost versus revenue.
-Provide clear and timely communication and escalation of route deviations to Control Tower and the company.
-Produce clear and accurate reports as needed in the form of KPI data
-Report / escalate poor haulier performance as necessary to team.
-Emergency planning of urgent orders,
-Trip documentation – ensure that transit documentation required by the driver/ and or despatch department is made available at the earliest opportunity. Inclusive of packing lists and where applicable CMR and EX1 retrieval.

Requirements:

-Experience of transport planning both manual and through the use of software packages & good understanding of European Geography
-Good level of competency in all MS Office packages and AS400 based systems
-English & Polish language skills essential
