THE COMPANY

Our client is a professional FMCG and Food organization, based in Utrecht Netherlands.

This clients markets several patented food additives and ingredients. Their ingredients aim to improve the health of the end client, so a passion for nutritional food is important to have. They operate on the Business-to-Business markets all over Europe, with key clients in German and Spanish speaking regions.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

This position combines key account management across Europe with slow, patient acquisition of new clients. You're willing to learn about technical, chemical matters. Besides this, you bring experience in the sales of food (ingredients) and are willing to travel up to a third of your time. You cross-sell and upscale existing clients' orders, serving the customers in the best way possible. For this, you understand the food ingredients very well and dare to ask the technical support what you may now know yourself. Open communication, strong negotiation skills and being a fast study will help with this.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintaining key accounts
• Technically explaining the possibilities of food ingredients to the clients
• Expanding the product range per client
• Cross selling, finding new business opportunities
• Writing business plans and budgets
• End responsibility for said budget implementation lies with you
• Answering client questions

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor/Master of Science in Food Technology or similar
• Experience in Food sales, 5 years minimum
• Long-term thinker, strong in building relations
• Calm personality, patient, strong negotiator
• Fluent or native Dutch
• Good English and either German or French, Spanish is a plus
• For a minimum of 30% of your time, you will travel though Europe
