Our client is a professional Medical Devices organization, based in Groningen Netherlands.
This client is one of the leading medical devices giants in the world, operating in multiple countries across all continents. Their large plants are continuously on the look out for Supply Chain professionals. With their responsibility being rooted in sustainable and inclusive business, they wish to both grow and improve the conditions of their employees.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for procurement, accounts payable, materials management, production planning and warehouse management. You will manage a small group of professionals, each working in one of the supply chain areas.
You are being regarded as a team builder and project manager and are able to switch easily between operational, tactical and strategic levels of thinking and acting.
Writing correctly is particularly important, as you will be communicating in a written way most of the time. You contribute to completing milestones by supporting external sales. For this, you are precise, and have a thorough knowledge of commercial supply chain.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Management of the following Supply Chain areas:
- Procurement
- Accounts Payable
- Materials Management
- Production Planning
- Warehouse management
- Pro-actively solving Supply Chain issues
- Improving Supply Chain processes
- Facilitating new product introductions
- Close working relationship with Production and New Product Development
*Reporting to the COO
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor or Master degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain or Logistics
- + 5 years of experience in Supply Chain
- Leadership skills
- Good knowledge of ERP and IT systems
- Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English
- Strong analytical skills
