Our client is a professional Medical Devices organization, based in Zuid-Holland Netherlands.

The Company developed through close cooperation with leading surgeons in the world an innovative and high-quality line of ophthalmic surgical instruments and disposables

ROLE DESCRIPTION

As a Supplier Quality Engineer you work with and report to the Supplier Quality Management Specialist and are responsible for implementing the Supplier Quality Management Policy.

You continue to develop and optimize our and our supplier’s quality management system to improve the quality of the delivered products (i.e. sterile packaging, printed circuit boards, fine mechanical parts and injection molded parts).

In the position, you are engaged in the development and optimization of our quality system by both the company’s and the supplier to improve the quality delivered by our suppliers (including sterile packaging, printed circuit boards, fine mechanical parts and injection molded parts).
You will work with the internal stakeholders and with suppliers in monitoring of rejection shipments. You also create user manuals and instructions in corporation with internal stakeholders and suppliers to measure and prevent rejected shipments.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Collaboration with suppliers and the internal stakeholders when handling NC’s and SCAR’s. Perform root cause analysis and monitoring the progress of NC’s and SCAR’s at suppliers. Providing necessary reports;
- Visit (international) suppliers for quality assurance purposes like discussing the status of NC’s, SCAR’s and quality improvement projects;
- Handling complaints relating to supplier products;
- Implement improvement strategies at the supplier to increase the quality of products to be delivered;
- Continuous improvement of inspection criteria and instructions for supplier products.

REQUIREMENTS

- A bachelor work- and thinking level combined with a technical training background;
- A minimum of 3 – 6 years experience in Quality Engineering or Supplier Quality is required;
(some)Knowledge of (medical) products is an advantage;
- Technical knowledge of fine mechanical and/or electrical components;
- Knowledge and experience with international quality standards.
- Knowledge of ISO 13485 is an advantage;
- Knowledge of production, procurements and/or logistics practices and experience with LEAN;
- Excellent command of the Dutch and English language both written and spoken;
- Strong communication skills combined with taking initiative and able to act in a fast paced and changing environment; Independent, assertive and a positive mindset;
- Flexible and (international) travel preparedness.
