My client is looking a for a Strategic Buyer to join their purchasing function and be part of their stable Procurement team. We are looking for a professional to be responsible for negotiating costs of components and materials required. Effective internal and external stakeholder engagement is a must to be able to effectively carry out activities in line with company standards.

My client, a well-known international company is looking for a Buyer Planner to join their growing strategic procurement team.
Description
- to manage purchasing and inventory activities for assigned product categories; forecast demand, inventory, and product sell-through.
- to be responsible for developing and implementing supplier selection strategies, continuous improvement activities (i.e. VAVE), supply requirement forecasting / stocking agreements and supplier performance reviews for regional and global suppliers of manufactured components and assemblies.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Business
- English language fluency (ability to negotiate and present to senior management)
- 5+ years experience in sourcing of manufactured components
- Understanding of technical manufacturing processes, and ability to analyze cost drivers and develop detailed cost break downs for manufactured products
- Experience in engineering design reviews and technical sourcing and quality processes: APQP, First Article, RFQ Process, ECN and NPD milestone process
- Experience in supplier quality audits, root cause corrective actions and working with suppliers to improve supplier performance
- Experience in preparing negotiation strategies, leading negotiations and managing large contracts
- Project management experience
- Experience in purchased product pricing analysis, usage trends & raw material commodity indexes
- Familiarity with Oracle, SAP or similar MRP systems
- Must be able to travel domestically and internationally up to 30%
