For our Client, an international Company located in Lower Silesia, producing components dedicated to heavy industry, we are currently searching for a professional, who will join Company’s growing structure at the position of Strategic Lead Buyer.
This is a new role in the company’s structure, reporting directly to the Global Category Manager. The person who will be taken up on it will be in charge of building purchasing strategy for dedicated group of components, conduct negotiations and maintain positive relations with global suppliers. He/she should be also focused on implementing improvements into purchasing activities like: stock optimizing, conducting cost reduction projects, consolidating current database of suppliers, etc. It will be expected that Strategic Lead Buyer will be able to work strategic as well as operational and forecast price trends and their impact on the business. Therefore, it will be a role that involves lots of market research and benchmark activities and change management initiatives.
To apply for this position you need to have at least 2 years of purchasing experience, preferably in manufacturing or engineering environment, as well as a good command of English. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) is also required as well as a Materials Management background MRP, ERP, etc. What is more, the perfect Candidate would be attentive to details and present great communication skills. It should be a person who eagerly takes initiatives, has a strong personal drive and is goal-oriented.
