Strategic Buyer (m/f)
Strategic Buyer will act as a main interface between direct commodities suppliers and the organisation, negotiating terms and conditions, implementing cost savings and ensuring highest service quality. Our client is a global HVAC/ Oil&Gas and Energy manufacturer, Scandinavian organisation with top corporate culture standards, and attractive employer worldwide.
Description
- Negotiation of price, terms and purchase conditions with local and international suppliers
- Focus on stock optimising, logistics, cost reduction, quality, lead time and purchase quantities for specific product groups
- Initiate and manage own projects within given supplier's portfolio
- Forecast price trends and their impact on future activities
- Supplier sourcing
- Development/consolidation of supplier base
- Reporting to Managing Director. Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analyses
- Work on new projects in cooperation with sales, planning, QC, R&D, accounting, manufacturing and stock departments as well as with suppliers
- Arrange and attend supplier meetings (Skype, face to face)
- Attend trade shows and exhibitions when needed
- Enter order details (e.g. vendors, quantities, prices) into internal databases
Profile
- University degree (technical, logistic)
- Min. 2 years experience in strategic procurement
- Very strong negotiation skills
- Strong personal drive - person who take initiatives /works independently
- Goal and execution oriented person
- Technical experience
- Very good English language skills as an obligation
- Ability to work strategic as well as operational
- Materials Management background MRP, ERP etc
- Experience in casting and steel purchase will be a big advantage
