Steel Materials Engineer
Miejsce pracy: 51-210 WrocławThe Steel engineer has comprehensive responsibilities for managing steel materials projects related to all Home appliances product categories from a technology and business perspective (Cost, quality and Governance) primarily in a European context. The position requires to work in close cooperation with Development , Procurement and Manufacturing and to keep teaming relations with counterparts located in different Regions
The position contributes to short and long-term product strategy recommendations, and is responsible for process/procedures standardization.
Lead materials projects from a technical perspective related to steel. Primary areas of responsibility include:
• Material selection and optimization: identify and release new steel materials for Cost, quality and aesthetic purposes working in close cooperation with Procurement, Global Consumer Design, Manufacturing and Product Development
• Specification Optimization: identify opportunities and review steel specification in a Global context
• Competitive Tension: work in a close cooperation with Procurement to approve new steel suppliers according to the Best Sourcing strategy.
• New Launches Compliance: work in a close cooperation with Project teams, Procurement and Materials organization to enable the use of most preferred materials in the new product launches
• Governance: ensure the application of governance tools in all the aspects of the steel activities.

Requirements
• Technical University Degree and depth knowledge of engineering science, practices and procedures pertaining to Steel Technology
• Depth knowledge of Steel properties, processes and testing
• Working knowledge of practical issues involving related process partners
• At least 2 years experience on relevant position
• Knowledge of business tools in the areas of financial analysis and productivity Measurement
• Knowledge of instruments and testing methods for full materials engineering laboratory operation knowledge and practice
• Fluent in English
• Very strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to build relationship and network across multiple international organization functions and to handle complexity
