Our client is a professional FMCG and Food organization, based in Zeeland Netherlands.

ROLE DESCRIPTION
You will be the first Packaging Engineers that will start with the setting up of a European team of Packaging Engineers, directly reporting to the Global Value Engineering Director. Using your expertise in Packaging you will focus on cross-functionally working with Manufacturing, Marketing, Procurement, R&D, Sales and Finance and Engineering. You will actively work on developing and implementing innovative packaging solutions for different plants accros Europe with a significant focus on cost-savings. This is a very interesting opportunity for a experienced medior/senior Packaging Engineer.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build on creative cost savings opportunities for packaging materials
- Work on processes that will improve the value proposition
- Proof of concept testing for new packaging developments
- Assure the development of robust and accurate packaging and finished products
- Attend quality audits
REQUIREMENTS
- 6-10 years of experience in Packaging in a Food/FMCG production environment
- Bachelor in (Packaging) Engineering or Industrial Engineering
- Experience in product commercialization
- Well developed influencing and communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously in an unstructered environment
