Sr Automation Engineer

Communicate the test progress with accurate reporting periodically (daily, weekly, or as per phasing) to appropriate stakeholders

Analysis, test, and refine product requirements

Plan, design, develop, and execute tests, including exploratory, functional and

non-functional characteristics of the backend and frontend engines

Support testing infrastructure, build and deployment verification

Investigate test results, and submit and track issues. Sign-off patch and release QA activities

MUST BE:

4+ years of automated testing experience3+ years of proficiency with Java 8+ core and SQL2+ years experience/knowledge of Linux and Shell, good knowledge of Unix commands

REQUIRED:

Understanding of jUnit and Mock testing frameworks

Understanding of message distribution tools like JMS/Kafka

Understanding of ETL testing process

Proficiency in relational database models, SQL queries, XML, JSON data models

Strong experience in testing XML SOAP and RESTful web APIs

Experience with git and Jenkins or similar version control and CI tools.

Knowledge in security, performance, and resiliency testing approaches

Understanding of Agile principals, SDLC and STLC

Be proactive, propose help, and contribute to getting answers for successful delivery.

Knowledge of financial / banking terminology (i.e: venues, equities, orders, instruments)

Ready to learn and adopt new tools

ISTQB knowledge, and certification.

Domain knowledge in Banking and Capital Markets, preference for trading platforms.

Financial background, understanding of FIX, FX protocols.

jMeter/Postman or relevant tool for API testing.

SonarQube or similar code and test coverage analysis tools.

Understanding AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud solutions.

Knowledge in Oracle, Snowflake, or similar data cloud.

Understanding of clean code principles and basic patterns (singleton, builder, prototype).

Understanding of Confluence, Jira, and Bitbucket tools.
