Senior Software Development Engineer

Location: 2 days/week from Krakow office
Rate: 150-200PLN/h net + VAT

Profile:
- 8 years of experience
- Experience in developing and managing web microservices using Java, with a comprehensive understanding of microservices architecture
- Expertise in Core Java and Collections, with 5+ years of experience, including Java 13+ features such as Records, Pattern Matching and Sealed Classes
- Technical knowledge of various platforms, including relational and NoSQL databases, REST and gRPC protocols, public cloud platforms (AWS and Azure) and DevOps practices
- Experience with microservices frameworks such as Spring Boot, Quarkus, Serverless, and preferably Dropwizard
- Knowledge of design patterns applicable to big data (batch and stream processing)
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD), Git/GitHub and Docker/container technologies
- Experience in agile SDLC in a large-scale enterprise environment
Nice to have:
- Experience in Big Data technologies such as Flink and Spark, with knowledge of Snowflake and Iceberg
- Experience with Dropwizard, AWS and Snowflake, as well as Elasticsearch, Logstash and Kibana
- Experience with Flowable or similar BPMN/CMMN tools
- Familiarity with front-end technologies such as React (micro-front-end)
- Familiarity with cloud service providers (Azure, GCP, preferably AWS)
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL database implementations
- Familiarity with working in a DevOps model
- Familiarity with FinOps and SaaS products is a plus Role The Software Engineer will be part of a skilled team working on innovative FinOps and data integration products
You will leverage your expertise in Java web applications and microservices to build scalable, high-performance solutions to manage cloud spend and data flows. The role covers the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements clarification, design and implementation to deployment and production support
- Feature development and delivery: lead the development and delivery of important features in a SaaS environment, providing bi-weekly valuable releases
- Comprehensive ownership: responsible for managing features from concept to design to production, ensuring seamless integration and high-quality solutions
- Collaboration: working closely with product managers, user experience designers and other engineers to develop high-quality solutions, fostering an environment of collaboration and innovation
- Leveraging the technology stack: Leveraging a technology stack including Java, Dropwizard, Postgres, JooQ, Snowflake, React, Typescript and Piral Framework, using AWS services such as RDS, SNS, SQS and Secrets Manager
- CI/CD monitoring and deployment: Implement and maintain monitoring strategies using Datadog and Splunk, and streamline deployment processes using CI/CD tools such as GitHub and Argo
- Customer Service: Participate in customer service activities, resolve complex issues, provide assistance
