Senior Piping Engineer

A multinational EPC contractor with operations throughout the world is looking to increase their project teams through new contract wins within their operation in Qatar. This office supports LNG engineering projects in Qatar within both Greenfield and Brownfield sites. The client has over 13 nationalities working within the organization at this stage.

As a growing organization, ours client is looking for candidates with:

• Qualification in Instrumentation Engineering.

• Broad experience in Oil & Gas Brownfield and Greenfield facilities, preferably with EPCM.

• Knowledge of latest design engineering and analytical techniques and software.

Purpose:

Reporting to the Group Leader Piping you will be responsible for:

• providing engineering support ensuring safe, cost effective
• designs are being produced for project delivery.
• Discipline: Engineering General Behavioural & Leadership Competencies:

Qualifications:

• Tertiary/technical qualifications in Mechanical engineering discipline are essential.
• Knowledge of Design Codes, Specifications and latest design engineering and analytical techniques and software is essential.
• Knowledge and know-how of piping design software.
• Knowledge of piping stress calculation methods.
• Knowledge of piping and support layout design.
• Knowledge of piping material specification.
• Understanding of P&ID.
• Experience & Technical Competencies:
• The ideal candidate will demonstrate broad experience in Oil & Gas Brownfield and Greenfield
• facilities, preferably with EPCM contractors. Middle East experience on similar projects would be an
• advantage.
• Demonstrated success in past project involvement and technical delivery of small to medium size
• projects.
• Proven ability to influence and mentor others in safety principles and behaviours.
• Demonstrated high order interpersonal skills and the ability to operate within a multinational
• environment, with wide exposure to various cultures and customs.
• Excellent communication skills (both written & verbal) with ability to interact across multiple disciplines.
  Demonstrated ability to influence and motivate others with regard to continuous improvement.
• A high level of computer literacy
