THE COMPANY
Our client is a professional Food organization, based in Noord-Holland Netherlands.
They are a large Dutch family owned company focussed on the import, packaging and distribution of fresh produce.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
For the position of Senior Operations Manager Logistics this company is looking for someone who can take up the processes regarding the operational tasks of the company. In basics this includes tasks such as: creating an efficient logistical planning, keeping track of the day to day processes and adjusting where and when as necessary.
RESPONSIBILITIES
In this role you will be responsible for creating the logistical planning and of course creating this as efficient as possible. However due to the broad nature of this role you will also have other responsibilities regarding the daily (operational) work processes. This includes:
- Checking and improving the efficiency in various distribution routes
- Improving current workprocesses
- Staying in contact with suppliers and operational employers of the company
- Keep looking for improvements in the market and help integrating these when interesting
- Maintaining and being the first point of contact for safety regulations and quality systems
REQUIREMENTS
- Relevant logistical experience of multiple years within a similar size company (±150 employee's total)
- BSc degree in transport or logistics
- A down to earth mentality with the ability to work indepent
- Native speaking level of Dutch and a preference towards German and English as well
