Senior Linux Engineer
We are looking for a Systems Engineer with a passion for Linux and Operations. This position will be responsible for the design, planning, implementation, and support of key Linux infrastructure projects.

We are looking for a Systems Engineer with a passion for Linux and Operations. This position will be responsible for the design, planning, implementation, and support of key Linux infrastructure projects.
Description
- Develop strategy around managing the Linux platform at scale across multiple environments and geographically distributed across public and private clouds.
- Design and deploy framework to manage Linux configuration, antivirus, patching, and account management.
- Centralize Linux authentication to Active Directory services.
- Drive proof of concept and design around Antivirus for Linux platforms.
- Develop reports and scripts required to meet compliance and auditing activities.
- Drive standards, policies, configuration guidelines and procedures for infrastructure operations.
- Work with Industry analysts, vendors and partners on issues relating to the Data Center Infrastructure.
- Build partnerships with vendors to accelerate evaluation, proof of concepts, and implementation strategies.
- Responsible for training program and knowledge transfer, including As-Built documentation.
- Project management of key internal infrastructure projects and short-term task goals.
- Implement improved methods and tools for the troubleshooting and root cause analysis of problems.
- Champion and gain support from the community and management around advanced technology initiatives.
- Work within the company's project standards and methodologies.
Profile
- 5+ years of experience working with RHEL or Cent O/S
- 5 + years of experience working with large scale Linux management including basic administration to configuration management
- Practical application of Linux with public cloud infrastructures i.e. AWS, Azure
- Practical application with automation and configuration tools i.e. Chef, Puppet, Ansible
- Practical understanding of virtualization technologies i.e. VMWare, AHV, Hyper-V
- Understanding of Service Management frameworks like ITIL or ITSM
- Experience in designing and deploying in a regulated industry, compliance requirements, and certifications i.e. SOX, SOC2, HITRUST
- Experience with designing logical workflows for a disparate audience including Business and Technical will be a plus
