For our client, we are currently looking for candidates for the position of:
Senior Frontend Developer.

Location:Gdańsk
Hybrid work: 2/3 days per week in office
Job type: B2B (with Hays Poland)
Length: long-term cooperation

We are looking for Senior Frontend Developer, who will collaborate within a Scrum team focused on building the next generation of the eCommerce frontend This role is actively involved in developing new features for the eCommerce platform.
The position includes contributing to the introduction of technical and process innovations in frontend development, as well as supporting the resolution of technical challenges as they arise.
Additionally, the role involves engaging with the frontend community by sharing knowledge and expertise with fellow developers. 

• Lead initiatives related to the implementation of the next-generation eCommerce frontend.
• Provide expert technical guidance on frontend-related topics.
• Participate in code reviews to enhance team knowledge and suggest improvements.
• Mentor and support junior developers on technical matters.
• Explore emerging technologies and develop quick Proof of Concepts to address future business needs.
• Advocate for best-in-class development practices and quality standards, such as Clean Code and BDD/TDD.
• Contribute to the Development Community of Practice by helping define and promote development principles and best practices across teams.
• Assist in structuring complex engineering challenges, including technology choices, development methodologies, and CI/CD processes.

• 5+ years of proven experience in a similar role, ideally within international and multicultural environments, including both traditional and virtual teams.
• Solid understanding and hands-on experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, XP) and DevOps practices.
• Strong track record of delivering results and meeting objectives.
• Deep knowledge of software design principles and development best practices.
• Professional experience with JavaScript, particularly with Next.js, React, and TypeScript.
• Proficiency in writing unit tests using tools like JEst and other testing frameworks.
• Strong grasp of semantic HTML, CSS, and core JavaScript concepts.
• Familiarity with CSS pre-processors and frameworks (preferably SCSS).
• Understanding of architectural design patterns and software craftsmanship principles (e.g., Clean Code, Clean Architecture).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or Azure DevOps, and practical knowledge of Dockerc ontainerisation.
• Awareness of performance optimization, cross-browser/device compatibility, and frontend performance best practices.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
• Bonus: Understanding of UX principles, experience with design tools (e.g., Figma, Abstract), and familiarity with analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics).
