Senior DevOps Engineer (Continuous Integration Engineer for embedded C++)

About the Project:
For the development of a next generation ECU in premium vehicles, we are looking for experienced DevOps/Continuous Integration Engineer for embedded C++ software (m/f/d). Join our team of enthusiastic and experienced engineers in St. Petersburg/Russia or Gdańsk/Poland to ensure software delivery for an entire main ECU used in future vehicles of a renowned German automotive manufacturer.

RESPONSIBILITIES
You are responsible to improve the existing continuous integration environment and support developers to solve build issues:
- will partner and support a close working relationship with team members, peers, engineering and development teams for project work and to solve issues that arise.
- develop and extend tools to maintain and monitor deployments.
Identify opportunities for automation and lead the development of systems to address those opportunities.
- writes and manages scripts using a version-controlled repository; scripts of various types are used to automate system management and event notification.
- supports highly virtualized servers consisting of different high availability techniques i.e. clustering, load balancing, and cluster file systems.
- strong belief in automation in all aspects, you get annoyed with manual repetitive tasks.
SKILLS
MUST
- Strong understanding of Linux and/or Windows OS
- Scripting and/or programming expertise (Bash, Python, Powershell)
- Experience with infrastructure automation and container frameworks
- Excellent troubleshooting, listening, and problem-solving skills
- Experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to automate software build, test and deploy with tools like Jenkins and GitHub
- Configuration management experience (Puppet, Salt, Ansible)
- develop infrastructure strategies for scalability on demand, high availability, and disaster recovery
- highly motivated and independent; good at prioritization and results oriented- - good communication skills in English.

NICE TO HAVE
- You always wanted to optimize building C++ software by using a C++ build cache system like ccache or scache (CMake).
- You like to use modern cloud and deployment technologies like docker and ansible to make your life easier and reduce manual effort.
