The main purpose of this role is to keep the financial books of the Polish Company which includes: handling all data entries, accounting transactions, sales, purchases, expenses, monthly closing, reconciliation of banks & suppliers, tax declarations, employees benefits & taxes, and preparing bank transfers and checks.
Responsibilities
- Keep the Company's books – all entries, reconsiliations, cost allocations
- Keep records of fixed assets
- Prepare of all tax declarations (Company Income Tax & VAT Declaration)
- Cooperate with a tax representative in calculating VAT
- Responsibility for the correct calculation of salaries, taxes and insurance for local employees
- Cooperation with external companies on employee tax and HR issues
- Administration duties
- Assist HR in employee related issues especially in abiding to Polish & EU laws
- Represent Company in contacts with Polish offices, banks, etc. when required
- Assist in communication with external & internal auditors, as well as banks for all bank related issues
- Create reports of the Central Statistical Office, NBP and all required by Polish law;
- Prepare financial reports as required by CFO;
- Follow up on Admin related contracts and make sure everything is up to date – if required
Requirements
- 3/5 years experience in the accounting department
- Knowledge about Polish and international accounting standards
- Advanced Excel Skills
- Knowledge of international accounting standards - US GAAP would be nice to have
- Communication skills
- English - fluent
