For our Client, an international, well known company located in Katowice, we are looking for the person to hold the position: Senior Accountant Specialist (Consolidation).
Your new role
You will be responsible for following tasks:
- Being part of the team, which delivers consolidated accounts of the group – work on implementation and set up of the process on European level (50+ entities under Lux GAAP)
- Cooperation with external financial auditors during the audit of consolidated accounts
- Enhance knowledge on accounting matters and principles under local GAAPs (US GAAP, IFRS – optional)
- Interpret local accounting rules (IFRS and US GAAP – optional) in order to identify differences and properly issue accounting guidelines
- Provide ideas/solutions on how to set particular areas of the consolidation process
- Liaise with local reporting entities to ensure data from local levels are gathered in a timely manner to meet the consolidation deadline
- Preparation of eliminations and necessary consolidation adjustments
- Review of consolidation packages prepared by local teams
- Preparation of standalone financial statements
- Bring systems/process improvement initiatives
- Work closely with all members of finance teams to ensure information, reporting and procedures remain entirely clear and consistent across the group to finalize the consolidated accounts
What you'll need to succeed
To be the best Candidate for this role, you will need:
- Accounting/finance educational background
- Previous involvement in process of preparation of annual local financial statements and/or group reporting packages/consolidated annual accounts of the group
- Previous involvement in non-standard projects with proven results/outcomes
- Ability to interpret local accounting rules, additional asset would be knowledge of IFRS or US GAAP
- Eagerness to develop knowledge in the area of consolidation (company will provide the training)
- Good knowledge of Excel
- Fluency in English
- Solid analytical and planning skills
- Strong technical knowledge and an understanding of group structures
- Knowledge of Sigma Conso will be an added advantage
