Your new role
The objective of this position is the development of customer applications and software components according to customer requirements in a defined quality, budget and time. Activities will support the setup, implementation and the sustainability of application software architecture within the Group system application landscape.
The Software Engineer will align with all relevant stakeholders from IT and Business side within the Group. By creating technical concepts, solution designs and including architectural alignment with the overall architectural principles within the group a high development standard and quality of code is being ensured.
Your new role
• Draft, design and implementation of program components, taking into account the framework conditions and requirements (technology, IT governance, architecture, security).
• Creation and implementation of test scenarios that ensure the acceptance criteria of the function of the program components.
• Execution of deployments on respective systems (development, staging, production).
• Assessment and improvement of program effectiveness and efficiency, constant refactoring of existing components in consultation with the process teams.
• Creation of documentation (release documentation, user documentation).
• Team collaboration using versioning systems and agile development processes.
• Ensurance of code quality, performing code reviews, pair programming.
• Organisation and implementation of know-how transfers among colleagues.
• Design, adaption, implementation and management of Deployments (Development, Staging, Production) on respective systems.
• Further education activities (attending seminars, congresses) for regular knowledge exchange and improvement.
• Coordination of external developers
• QA Manager for review and approve/release on code implementations of other suppliers
What you39ll need to succeed
• Bachelor / master’s degree in computer science / business informatics or equal education like certification in the SAP area
• 7+ years of professional experience within the SAP Development area

• Experience in modern development methods and tools (e.g. continuous integration, automated testing, development in the cloud or other.)
• Knowledge of ABAP OO, ALE and ODATA, Migration Tools like LSMW, S/4 HANA, Fiori, UI5, Java Script, Java, Web Services, SOAP, REST Interfaces
• Knowledge in at least 2 Modules like Logistic, PLM, Master Data, Finance etc. is a plus
• Experience in agile methods like Kanban
• Effective communication skills and assertiveness; team skills in combination with high own initiative and motivation; business fluent English (spoken and written).
